According to official sources, Lt Gen MV Suchindra Kumar has been appointed as the new Vice Chief of Army Staff. At the present, he is the Army Headquarters’ Deputy Chief of Army Staff (Strategy).
According to the reports, Lt Gen Kumar would succeed Lt Gen B S Raju, who has been appointed the South Western Army Commander with headquarters in Jaipur.
According to them, Lt Gen NSR Subramani, who is currently the Chief of Staff at the Northern Command’s Udhampur headquarters, has been chosen to take over as the Central Army Commander in Lucknow.
All the new appointments will come into effect on March 1.
About Lt Gen MV Suchindra Kumar
A graduate of the National Defense Academy in Khadakwasla is Lt. Gen. Kumar. In June 1985, he received an appointment into the 1 Assam Regiment.
Along the Line of Control, he has been in charge of the 59th Rashtriya Rifles Battalion, an infantry brigade, and an infantry division.
Moreover, Lt Gen Kumar commanded the extremely active White Knight Corps. At the headquarters of the Army, he previously held the positions of Assistant Director General Military Intelligence and Director General Military Intelligence.
In December 1984, Lt Gen BS Raju received his commission into the Jat Regiment’s 11th battalion. Later, in Jammu and Kashmir, he commanded his unit during “Operation Parakram.”
