In the meeting of Maharashtra Covid Task Force held on Thursday, Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray has decided to give relief in corona restrictions in 25 districts of the state. After the meeting, State Health Minister Rajesh Tope said that it has been decided to relax restrictions in 25 districts where the rate of corona virus infection is less than the state average.
Tope said that it was decided in the meeting that Saturday will now be unlocked with some restrictions but on Sunday the restrictions will continue as before. Health Minister Tope said that the state government is considering to allow people who have received both doses of the anti-coronavirus vaccine to travel in local trains.

Talking to reporters after the meeting of the Covid Task Force chaired by Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray, Tope said that the government is considering giving exemption to travel in local trains to those people who have got both the doses of the vaccine. Tope said that more restrictions will be imposed in the remaining 11 districts, where the corona infection rate is high.
Tope said, “We have decided to give relief in restrictions in 25 districts including Mumbai where the corona infection rate is much lower than the state average.However, the minister also said that restrictions may be extended in Pune, Solapur, Sangli, Satara, Kolhapur, Palghar, Raigad, Ratnagiri, Sindhudurg, Beed and Ahmednagar, where the corona infection rate is high. He said, “If need be, the local administration can impose more strict restrictions to prevent corona infection.”
Rajesh Tope said, “We have decided to give relief in restrictions in 25 districts. Relief will be given in the operation of shops, theatres, cinema halls, gyms etc. Restrictions on marriage ceremonies etc. will continue. The use of AC hall will also be discouraged. Detailed guidelines will be issued in the next 2-3 days. The opening hours of hotels and shops may be extended till 8-9 pm. But they must ensure that the staff has received both doses of the vaccine. Operational exemption will be given with 50 percent capacity.
