Maharashtra: Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut on Monday said that action will be taken against Maharashtra Governor BS Koshyari for his equating Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj with BR Ambedkar and Union Minister Nitin Gadkari.

“Wait and watch,” Sanjay Raut
“Action will have to be taken against the governor. The Vidhan Sabha session is beginning on December 19. Wait and watch what the opposition does before and after that,” said Sanjay Raut. Maharashtra Governor BS Koshyari has drawn flak from the parties such as AAP and NCP over his remark.
“We are not ready to consider him as Governor. He is a humble BJP worker. The governor should be neutral and show dignity in his words and conduct, but our Governor speaks on Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, Mahatma Phule and Savitribai Phule. He has made a mockery out of Maharashtra,” Raut had previously said.

What exactly did Governor Koshiyari say?
During a convocation event at Babasaheb Ambedkar University in Aurangabad on November 19, Koshyari addressed the students, “find out who your favourite hero is; you don’t need to seek outside Maharashtra.” Shivaji is a hero from another era, but today we have heroes like Dr. Ambedkar and Dr. Nitin Gadkari, and all of you will establish some life goals while studying. Our Gadkari Saheb and Pawar Saheb are visionaries as well.”
The words provoked outrage, with Maratha organisations and opposition politicians demanding that the governor be recalled.
