Prime Minister Narendra Modi is on his visit to poll-bound West Bengal. In his Bengal outreach, Prime Minister has compared Mamata Bannerjee’s government with the second version of the Left Front government in Bengal and said there has been a “rebirth of communism” under her leadership.
Hitting at the state government over the violence, Prime Minister Modi said that state politics is the biggest reason for such condition in the state.
“During Covid, lakhs of farmers here did not get any money, Lakhs of farmers should have benefitted from the Kisan Samman project, but did not. The state refused to join the program,” PM Modi said.
Earlier in the day, he visited Assam, another poll-bound state where he laid the foundation stones of two hospitals and launched the ‘Asom Mala’ project.
Coming back to Bengal Prime Minister accused the state leaders of corruption, he said “Even in natural disasters like Cyclone Amphan, they are “looking for opportunities for corruption and The Centre gave free ration immediately but the state failed to give it to the people.”
