The cases of misbehavior with air hostess in flights are increasing. Now the incident of a drunken passenger misbehaving with the cabin crew has come to light in Indigo’s Sharjah-Amritsar flight. On May 13, an Indigo flight took off from UAE Sharjah for Amritsar. Then during the journey, a drunken passenger misbehaved with the female cabin crew.
After landing in Amritsar, the accused passenger was handed over to the Punjab Police. The accused has been identified as Rajinder Singh who was traveling in flight number 6E 1428. He was arrested as soon as he landed at Amritsar airport. The arrested passenger, a resident of Jalandhar in Punjab, had allegedly consumed excessive amounts of alcohol in the flight.
The accused passenger misbehaved with a female crew member in a drunken state. At that time the flight staff handled the situation. The security manager took up the matter with the police after landing. The police detained the accused and are probing the incident.
Incidents of misbehavior in flights increased
In the last few months, several incidents of objectionable behavior of passengers traveling by air have come to the fore. Last month, an allegedly drunk man urinated on another passenger during an argument on a New York-New Delhi American Airlines flight.
Urinated on elderly female passenger
In a similar case that hit the headlines in November last year, a passenger named Shankar Mishra was accused of urinating by an elderly female co-traveller. The accused was allegedly in an inebriated state on the Air India flight. The accused was arrested after the complaint. However, he was later granted bail.
