Manish Sisodia, the deputy chief minister of Delhi, said the Central Bureau of Investigation CBI searched his home for several hours before seizing his computer and phone and taking certain documents. The incident was related to alleged irregularities in the implementation of Excise Policy 2021-22.
He said that he had done nothing wrong and wasn’t intimidated by the raid or the Central Bureau of Investigation.

“The CBI team reached in the morning and searched the whole house. My family and I extended them full cooperation. They seized my computer and mobile phone. They also took away some files,” he told reporters after the raid that lasted several hours.
The Arvind Kejriwal administration in Delhi, was being prevented from “doing good things” by the Center through the agency, said Sisodia.
The Central Bureau of Investigation carried out day-long searches at Sisodia’s Delhi home and 31 other locations across seven states over allegations of corruption in liquor policies of the Delhi government. The policy, which was put in place in November 2021, was scrapped in July after investigations started.
