Gyanvapi Mosque Case Uncovers Evidence of Aurangzeb’s Temple Demolition, ASI’s RTI Unveils The Secret

Mathura Dispute

Gyanvapi Mosque Case: Following the Kashi Gyanvapi controversy, the Mathura Shri Krishna Janmabhoomi-Shahi Eidgah controversy has sparked more debate. Meanwhile, let us inform you that everyone has been surprised by the information the  Archaeological Survey of India’s revealed in an RTI. In an RTI, ASI disclosed that a Mathura temple was demolished in order to construct a mosque.

RTI Revelation by Mainpuri Resident

Mainpuri resident Ajay Singh had submitted an RTI. wherein the inquiry centred on the temple or mosque located at the birthplace of Lord Krishna. The  Archaeological Survey of India’s is said to have said unequivocally in response to the ITR that the Mathura mosque was constructed by razing the temple.

ASI’s Basis in 1920 British Raj Budget for Mathura Assertion

Let us clarify that ASI based this assertion on the British Raj budget that was released in 1920. This RTI also mentions that a temple formerly stood here many millennia ago. That was destroyed to make way for a mosque. This makes it rather evident that Aurangzeb destroyed the Mathura temple. On the other hand, the Hindu perspective asserts that this evidence is crucial. The  Archaeological Survey of India’s has provided this.

We would like to inform you that there are parallels between the Ayodhya and Mathura disputes. According to the Hindu side, Aurangzeb destroyed the Mathura temple and erected a mosque in its place. Reportedly, in 1670, Auranzeb gave the order to destroy the Mathura temple dedicated to Lord Keshavdev.

Shahi Idgah Mosque Emerges

The Shahi Idgah Mosque was subsequently constructed there. Notably, the ownership rights to a total of 13.37 acres of property are at issue in this case. The property that belongs to Sri Krishna Janmasthan is 10.9 acres, and the area that belongs to Shahi Idgah Mosque is 2.5 acres. The Hindu side has also claimed this land and identifies the Shahi Idgah Mosque as a building constructed through illegal encroachment.
