Mohan Bhagwat: Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) is an Indian cultural organization that is also a Hindu nationalist, paramilitary, and volunteer organization. Its main office is in Nagpur, from whence it occasionally receives feedback on all national initiatives. The most recent evidence indicates that RSS Chief, Sarsanghchalak Mohan Bhagwat, has responded to numerous issues, including the opposition’s predicament, Manipur, and the rhetoric surrounding elections in various regions of India.
Priority on Peace in Manipur
Additionally, Mohan Bhagwat has insisted that the necessity of establishing peace in the northeastern state of Manipur be given top priority by the newly formed National Democratic Alliance (NDA) administration of the Center. In addition, he has made it clear that elections are a process of reaching an agreement and that it is improper to criticize one another, abuse technology, or disseminate misinformation in this regard. It would be right to refer to the political opponent as opposition if the RSS chairman is to be believed.
Election Discourse Critique
Following the creation of the new National Democratic Alliance (NDA) government at the Centre, Mohan Bhagwat, the chief of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), expressed his opinions to employees at a national level cadre training camp in Nagpur. The RSS chief said that “the way in which there is a process of abusing each other, misusing technology and spreading falsehoods in the election campaign is not right at all. During the election period, the opposition should be called the opposition.” Additionally, Mohan Bhagwat has insisted that “free from the frenzy of elections, we will have to think about the problems facing the country” be addressed by the newly established central administration.
Election as a Democratic Event
Mohan Bhagwat, while addressing a program of RSS in Nagpur, said that “Elections are an event that happens every five years in democracy. During this time, we keep doing our duty by refining public opinion. The RSS chief also said that this time too we have refined public opinion in the electoral process.
RSS Chief’s Concern for Manipur
Subtly, Chief of the RSS, Mohan Bhagwat, has made a significant demand of the newly formed National Democratic Alliance (NDA) administration. The RSS Chief said about the violence in the north-eastern state of Manipur, “Manipur has been waiting for peace for the past one year. Before this, it remained peaceful for 10 years and the old gun culture had ended here. However, the conflict that has suddenly erupted or was created there, is still burning in the fire of which Manipur is suffering. In such a situation, it needs to be given priority and given attention.”
