Purvanchal’s mafia don and MLA Mukhtar Ansari reached Banda jail late at night and will now be in Barrack number 15 of Banda jail. Ansari has an old bond with this barrack. Once Ansari was arrested earlier, he was kept in the barrack number 15 of this jail.

Significantly, at 2 o’clock in the afternoon, a convoy of UP police was run with Mukhtar Ansari of Ropar Jail. The Nikkale convoy consisted of about 10 vehicles, including an ambulance.

It is noteworthy that Mukhtar Ansari was lodged in Ropar Jail in Punjab in one case. To bring Ansari, the case went on till the Supreme Court between the state government and the Punjab government.

On March 26, the Supreme Court, while giving the verdict, ordered Mukhtar Ansari to be sent to Uttar Pradesh.

The apex court had directed to send Mukhtar, who is jailed in Punjab, to Uttar Pradesh in two weeks. The court gave this ruling on Mukhtar’s custody transfer petition.

In 1988, the first 302 murder case was registered against Mukhtar Ansari at Ghazipur Kotwali. This matter is still going on in the court.

After this, a second case of murder was registered against Mukhtar at Cantt police station of Varanasi. This murder case was seen as a battle of supremacy in coal contracts. This was the first time that the mafia don Mukhtar Ansari and Brijesh Singh of Purvanchal came face to face.

The background of this murder case. Brijesh Singh, who is in jail in connection with the murder, met Tribhuvan Singh of Mudiyar village in Ghazipur. The two became friends.

Tribhuvan Singh’s brother, head constable Rajendra Singh, was posted in the Varanasi police line. In October 1988, Sadhu Singh killed Rajendra Singh. Apart from Sadhu Singh, Mukhtar Ansari and resident of Ghazipur, Bhim Singh were also named in 302 cases in the Cantt police station.
