Mulayam Singh Yadav: The 82-year old veteran, Founder of the Samajwadi Party (SP), was sent to the intensive care unit (ICU) of the Medanta Hospital in Gurgaon on Sunday afternoon after his condition deteriorated. In the latest update, his condition is still critical. However, doctors have said that he is improving. Akhilesh Yadav, his son and SP chief, as well as Dharmendra Yadav and other family members arrived at the hospital in the evening yesterday.

Akhilesh left the hospital at 8:51 p.m. after reassuring party supporters who had gathered in front of the emergency room. “Netaji (Mulayam) is in good health…” According to Dharmendra Yadav, his status is stable.
Yogi Adityanath, the chief minister of Uttar Pradesh, called Akhilesh Yadav to inquire about the condition of Mulayam Singh Yadav. The UP CM further requested that the senior leader receive top-notch care from the Medanta hospital’s medical staff.
Nitish Kumar, the chief minister of Bihar, also asked how Mulayam Yadav was doing and sent him his best wishes for a quick recovery. “On getting information about the deteriorating health of Samajwadi Party Patron Shri Mulayam Singh Yadav ji, after talking to his son and former Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Shri Akhilesh Yadav ji on phone inquired about Mulayam Singh ji’s health. Wishing him a speedy recovery,” a tweet by the Bihar CM read.
