Lucknow: The video from a busy traffic light in Lucknow that shows a woman repeatedly slapping a cab driver, is still grabbing attentions. Both the parties now are sharing their versions with different media houses . In one such conversations with The Lallantop, the driver, Shahadat Ali, explained why he beared with the lady’s action.
“In my house , my parents have not taught me to hit a woman. I am from a very good family. I am taught to never hit a lady by my mother. The heaven is in mother’s feet, even you know that.” he said
He went on to explain the incident in detail in a prevous conversation with a news channel.
He added, “She broke my mobile, which is my employer’s. My car was damaged too, I sufferd a loss of around Rs 60,000.”
The girl, however, has another version to tell. She says that, she has been suffering from several diseases and has been harassed by a group of eve-teasers for two years.
The incident took place on July 31 at a busy crossroad in Lucknow. The internet demanded the girl’s arrest when a video went viral that showed her mercilessly beating up the cab driver. Later, the police registered a complaint against the girl.
A complain had been filled against a women who was caught slapping a cab driver continuously at a traffic signal in Lucknow. After the video got viral on social media, people started demanding the women’s arrest. The hashtag “#arrestlucknowgirl” was also trending on twitter.
The video captured a women who was crossing a crowded street at a zebra crossing at Awadh crossing in Lucknow. She stopped infront of cab, opened the door and dragged the driver out and started slapping him continuously.
The driver was seen requesting the public to all tha lady police “aap log mahila police bulaye,” he was heard saying in the video.
The women kept slapping him and was seen flinging the phone of the man that fell down.
She also slapped a man who was trying to clear up the matter.
