Senior Congress leader Navjot Singh Sidhu has launched a fresh attack on former Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh by saying, “I don’t want to talk about spent cartridges. If there were mafias during his regime, then who was earning the money.”
Sidhu attacked former CM after his resignation letter from the Congress where he mentioned taht former state Congress chief Sidhu was a man of an unstable mind, pro-Pakistan and that he would spoil the Congress party.
While speaking about Amarinder Singh, the Punjab Congress Chief added: “How many seats did he win when he formed a party earlier? He is a fraud.” Sidhu asked if the Captain was sleeping when his people were doing wrong.
“Not acting against people involved in wrong doings is timid and a show of cowardness. He is a coward,” added Navjot Singh Sidhu.
Almost after a month qutting the Congress, Amarinder Singh on November 2 revealed the name of his new party as Punjab Lok Congress.
“Since we had announced earlier that we would be forming our own party, our team of lawyers was working on the process and had applied to the Election Commission of India for the registration,” said Amarinder Singh.
The Election Commission has no objection to their proposed name, he added.
