Maa Kushmanda: Significance
With her smile, Maa Kushmanda, the fourth manifestation of Goddess Durga, is said to have created the entire universe. Ku, which means small, Ushma, which means warmth, and anda, which means cosmic egg, are all references in her name. Hindu mythology holds that Maa Kushmanda’s smile, which she flashed briefly, was all that was needed to create the universe, or Brahmanda. She also goes by the name of Ashtabhuja Devi because of her eight hands.
