Navy Chief R Hari spoke on many major achievements of the Indian Navy. In which he gave information about the entry of women in the Navy for the first time, from Vikrant to becoming self-sufficient in the coming years. The Navy Chief said today (Saturday) that a batch of about 3000 Agniveer candidates is ready in the Indian Navy under the Agneepath scheme. These include 341 girls. This is the first time that women candidates are also being recruited in the Indian Navy. The Navy Chief has described the Agneepath scheme as a transformative step for the Navy.
Giving information about the first batch of Agniveers, Navy Chief R Hari said that women sailors are now ready to go to sea including 29 trades. 341 women have already reported for training. He said that we have had an intense and busy time during the last one year operationally. Our ships, submarines and other platforms were deployed to secure the IOR area. He said that from next year the entry of women officers will be open for every other branch in the Indian Navy.
Commissioning of Vikrant and the Naval Ensign – a historic event
The Navy Chief said that the last year may have been operationally busy, but it was a year of change, in which the commissioning of Vikrant was a historic event. It is a shining symbol of our indigenous capabilities. Apart from this, another important event in the naval record was the unveiling of the new naval ensign. It was to do away with the colonial practice. The Indian Navy Chief said that on August 15, seven of our ships hoisted the tricolor on seven continents. This shows our reach.
Indian Navy will become self-sufficient by 2047
Navy Chief Admiral R Hari Kumar informed that a lot of attention has been paid to the budget judiciously to develop our capabilities. We are moving towards self-sufficiency.
Government has instructed us to be self-reliant, we cannot depend on others for our security needs, so our priority is to become a future ready force without depending on others, we have fully The goal is to become self-sufficient.
