The Narcotics Control Bureau on Wednesday detained Iqbal Ibrahim Kaskar – the Mumbai-based sibling of absconding mafia don Dawood Ibrahim Kaskar. He has been accused in a drugs case and was caught peddling banned narcotics substances. He has been taken for questioning by the anti-drug agency.
“He has been taken under a production remand,” NCB Zonal Director Sameer Wankhede told IANS.
According to reports, Kaskar was arrested allegedly peddling banned substances from Jammu and Kashmir to Punjab. He has also been accused of operating Dawood’s Mumbai based real state business.
Kaskar was deported from UAE in 2003 and was arrested by Thane Police in September, 2017 in connection with an investigation into extortion case.
