Senior Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) Ajit Pawar has quashed all the rumors of him planning to ditch his party for the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). On Tuesday, he said, “ I am with the NCP and will remain with the party.” He also rubbished the reports suggesting he had taken the signatures of some MLAs.
‘No truth to rumours
Ajit Pawar on Tuesday dissected the rumours of him joining the BJP. “No truth to rumours, “ he said.
“False information and reports are being spread about me and my colleagues. There is no truth to this news and reports,” he said.
Ajit Pawar further said that he was with the NCP and will remain with the party. “I have not taken the signatures of any MLAs. Now, all rumours must stop,” he said.
What Sharad Pawar said
Earlier today, NCP chief Sharad Pawar had also strangely opposed the rumours of his nephew and senior party leader Ajit Pawar joining the BJP. He also denied the meeting of NCP MLAs and said that Ajit Pawar has been busy with the party’s work.
He said whatever discussions have been going on media’s minds are not in our minds.
There is no importance of all these discussions. The reports have no meaning. Somebody is trying to create news. I can say about NCP that all our colleagues are of one thinking of how to make the party stronger, and there is no other thought in anybody’s mind,” the NCP chief said.
