New Delhi: The forensics team from the CBI arrived today at the Mehrauli police station in Delhi to look into the fridge and other pieces of information related to the brutal killing of 26-year-old Shraddha Walkar. Horrifying details about the case have so far been uncovered through police inquiry.
Police takes Aftab to the jungle
Aftab was taken by the Delhi police to the forest today, where he is accused of throwing Shraddha’s body parts. At least 10 body pieces have been found after a three-hour search effort. As the case turns older, new updates bring in much more devastating and terrifying details about Aftab Poonawala, who murdered his live-in girlfriend and later chopped her off in 35 pieces.
His cruelty knew no boundaries as he kept her body in fridge and used various tactics to not get into the suspicion. For 18 nights, he went to the nearby forest to disperse off the body parts. As per the reports, after murdering, he ordered online food and slept in the same room. He also called on other girls in the flat for spending night. He used to contact the girls through a dating app called Bumble, the same app through which he met Shraddha.

Aftab and his vicious crime
The way aftab killed his long time girlfriend with whom he was living as well, shows the other side of society that how much can people ground to pull on their motivations. He murdered the girl in May and had been roaming free since then, while also contacting many other girls who could have fallen in the same trap. It’s difficult to asses what goes inside the mind of these type of killers who commit them without fearing the law even a bit.
As per the reports, police may also enquire the Bumble app to know whether Aftab used the app prior to killing Shraddha. Initial reports also state that he shifted in Delhi just days before this crime happened, which also points a finger if he relocated just to kill Shraddha.
Aftab was inspired from ‘Dexter’ show
According to Aftab’s account to the authorities, he killed Shraddha during a dispute over a marriage and was motivated to chop off her body by the American crime drama Dexter. He scrubbed the floor with sulfuric and hypochlorous acid to remove any DNA samples that might can be discovered during the forensic investigation. To prevent suspicion, Aftab continued to be active on Shraddha’s social media accounts. He used to light up incense sticks to also cover up the smell.
As per the reports, he killed his girfriend on 18th May and kept living in the same flat to avoid any kind of suspicion. Sources also claim that he later called up many girls to his home for spending a night.
