A 36-year-old man was allegedly killed in Kerala’s Malappuram on suspicion of theft. Police has arrested nine people in this case. The police has informed about this on Monday.
Locals caught on suspicion of theft
Officials said that the victim has been identified as Rajesh Manchi, a resident of Bihar. In fact, it reportedly fell down from a house in Malappuram’s Kizhissery area. After this the local people suspected it of theft and caught it.
According to the police, on the night of May 12, the locals tied his hands after catching him. After this, everyone brutally beat the victim with sticks, sticks and pipes. The victim, Rajesh Manchi, had sustained serious injuries in the chest, ribs and hips.
Doctors declared him dead on reaching the hospital
Officials said that Rajesh Manchi was found under suspicious circumstances in Kizhiseri on the night of May 12. Thereafter, he was interrogated for more than two hours with his hands tied and brutally beaten. When he fell unconscious, the accused informed the local public servant. After this the public servant informed the police about this. Following information, a team from a nearby police station arrived and took him to the hospital, but doctors declared him brought dead.
Police arrested nine people
When the police interrogated the people arrested on the charge of murder, the accused told that Rajesh had come with the intention of stealing. Officials said that this is a preliminary finding, but the police will probe deeply into the matter.
Officials said the death of a resident of Bihar at Keezhiseri in Malappuram was a case of lynching. Malappuram SP Sujit Das said that Rajesh Manchi was mercilessly thrashed by 9 people and his hands were tied. 9 people have been arrested in the incident.
