Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray has announced a 15-day curfew in the state, which includes no shooting of films, television shows, and ad shoots.
The restrictions will be implemented from today at 8 PM. This is a Janta curfew owing to the surge of coronavirus cases in the state and the nation.
CM Uddhav Thackeray has also sought military help in maintaining the supply of oxygen and other useful medicines.
CM has stated that no one will move out of their houses unless it is too urgent. Section 144 has been imposed in the state for the next 15 days.
The nation reported more than 1 lakh and 84 thousand new cases of COVID-19 in the last 24 hours. While the state of Maharashtra has reported more than 60 thousand new cases of COVID-19. The state has also seen a spike in the cases of people aged between 18 to 30.
Recently celebrities like Katrina Kaif, Vicky Kaushal, Alia Bhatt, Bhumi Pednekar, Aamir Khan, Kartik Aaryan, Paresh Rawal, Tara Sutaria, R Madhavan, Manoj Bajpayee, Sidhant Chaturvedi have tested positive with the COVID-19.
