The Border Security Force (BSF) of Punjab highlighted the significance of these appointments, referring to them as a means of empowerment through job opportunities. The event will be graced by the online presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who will address the attendees virtually.
Earlier, on July 22nd, Prime Minister Modi had distributed more than 70,000 appointment letters to newly recruited individuals through a video conferencing session. During this interaction, he emphasized the importance of these opportunities in the context of India’s ongoing development journey, mentioning that being a government employee is a great honor. He also spoke optimistically about India’s trajectory, stating that experts predict it will be among the world’s top three economies in the next few years, leading to increased employment opportunities and higher per capita income for citizens.
The initiative also includes the organization of Rozgar Mela at 44 locations across the country. This effort is a reflection of Prime Minister Modi’s commitment to prioritizing employment generation. The initial phase of the ‘Rozgar Mela’ was launched on October 22nd of the previous year, marking the commencement of a campaign aimed at providing one million government jobs. The current round of appointment letters is a continuation of this broader initiative, encompassing recruitment in various Central Government Departments, State Governments, and Union Territories.
