President Ram Nath Kovind honored 141 people with Padma awards at Rashtrapati Bhavan. Padma awards, the highest civilian honor after Bharat Ratna in the country, were distributed in the historic Durbar Hall of Rashtrapati Bhavan. People doing excellent work in various fields were felicitated in this grand ceremony. This time awards are being given for two years. In this, for the year 2020, 141 people were given Padma Awards today and for 2021, 119 people will be honored with Padma Awards on Tuesday.
Today, for the year 2020, 7 people were honored with Padma Vibhushan, 16 people with Padma Bhushan and 118 people with Padma Shri. Among the awardees are 29 women, 16 posthumous awardees and 1 transgender awardee.
On Tuesday, 7 people will be honored with Padma Vibhushan award in the list of Padma Awards for the year 2021. Apart from this, 10 people will be honored with Padma Bhushan and 102 people with Padma Shri.

Manipur’s Mary Kam for Sports
Sri Vishveshtheertha Swami (posthumous) of Pejavar Math in Udupi, Karnataka for spirituality.
