Seema Haider: The Anti-terrorism squad of Uttar Pradesh has taken custody of Seema Haider and is undertaking her interrogation at a secret location. The Pakistani national fled to India via Nepal in June to be with her lover Sachin Kumar, whom she had met online playing PUBG. The IDs belonging to Seema Haider have been sent to High Commission for investigation. The ATS has taken copy of statements given to Greater Noida Police and is under process of overtaking the whole investigation. The agency will conduct inspection of facts provided by the couple on the basis of WhatsApp chats and other evidences.
Thorough re-investigation
As per sources, an intelligence team will also gather evidences from Nepal. The whole aim of ATS involvement is to corroborate information given by Seema of her escape from Pakistan and her entry into India. A senior official from Uttar Pradesh police has stated said that Seema is a Pakistani national and there are sides to her illegal arrival in India. He further added that her interrogation is a procedural necessity given the circumstances. Details from Seema’s hotel owners iand other staff members in Nepal are also being gathered.
