Parliament Attack: The primary conspirator in Wednesday’s Parliament security breach is still at large, according to the preliminary investigation, and efforts are underway to apprehend him, police sources reported on Thursday. The accused had carried out a reconnaissance outside the Parliament, according to news agency ANI, which cited sources in the Delhi police.
Revolutionary Association
According to the sources, all of the accused were connected to the “Bhagat Singh Fan Club” social media page. It’s interesting to remember that in 1929, during India’s independence struggle, the revolutionary freedom fighter and his associate Batukeshwar Dutt also threw bombs into the British Parliament from the visitor’s gallery.
Preparation in Mysore
“Everyone met in Mysore about one and a half years ago. Sagar came from Lucknow in July but could not enter the Parliament House. On December 10, one by one, everyone reached Delhi from their respective states. They gathered near India Gate, where colored crackers were distributed to everyone,” sources stated. Meanwhile, a case has been filed under the UAPA section by the Delhi police special cell.
Lok Sabha Secretariat’s Request
An investigation into the security breach incident has also been ordered by the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA). Under CRPF DG Anish Dayal Singh, a committee has been established to look into the breach’s cause and make recommendations for improving Parliament’s security. “On request from Lok Sabha Secretariat, MHA has ordered an enquiry of parliament security breach incident. An Enquiry Committee has been set up under Anish Dayal Singh, DG, CRPF, with members from other security agencies and experts,” the Home Ministry said.
Parliament Security Breach
Two intruders broke into the Lok Sabha chamber during Zero Hour on Wednesday, the 22nd anniversary of the Parliament terror attack, posing a serious threat to public safety. With smoke canisters in their hands, the intruders leaped from the visitor’s gallery into the House’s well. Before MPs and marshals could stop them, they detonated the canisters and yelled slogans. The two men who entered the Parliament and the other two who staged protests outside are among the five persons the police have so far taken into custody. According to reports, a fifth person from Gurgaon was arrested, and their associate is being sought after.
