Parliament Special Session LIVE Updates: Today marks the start of the five-day extraordinary session of Parliament, which is being watched closely to see if the government will make any unexpected actions. This session, the government will debate eight proposals, including one that would alter how Election Commissioners are chosen.

PM Modi and Minister Goyal Inaugurate Session

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will open the session in the Lok Sabha and Union Minister Piyush Goyal will do the same in the Rajya Sabha on Monday. The session will focus on the “Parliamentary Journey” spanning 75 years. The session will also mark the transfer of Parliamentary procedures to the new facility.

India’s Achievement on the Global Stage

PM Modi praised the Parliamentarians for their accomplishments and credited the entire nation for the G20’s success. “The success of our G20 presidency is India’s success. It cannot be attributed to an individual or a party. It seemed impossible to get the Delhi declaration passed, but we did it successfully. It is a matter of pride for everyone. Today, India is recognised on a global level, that is because of our culture and everything we have from Vedas to Vivekananda,” Prime Minister said.
