Partial Solar Eclipse on October 25: The Next Time India will Experience This Cosmic Phenomena will be in 2032

Partial Solar Eclipse on October 25: Parts of Europe, western Asia, and northeast Africa will be able to observe a partial solar eclipse on October 25. The Sun, Moon, and Earth will come together, albeit unevenly, to make this cosmic event.
The eclipse will commence in India before it gets dark in the late afternoon, and it will be visible from most places.

Why is this solar eclipse unique in its partiality?

When the moon is squarely between the Sun and the Earth, there is a partial eclipse. Since a partial eclipse just partially covers the Sun’s light, it is not as dark outside as it is during a total eclipse.

The vast majority of India’s regions will be able to see it.

The second partial solar eclipse of 2022 will be visible in Kolkata, the easternmost metropolis of India, for a very brief period of time. The northern and western parts of the country will offer the best viewing opportunities for the celestial event.

North-eastern India will not be able to view the eclipse because it will take place after sunset there.

When does it start?

The partial solar eclipse will occur between 8:58 and 1:02 in the morning. The eclipse won’t end until after sunset, so India won’t be able to witness it.

The next partial solar eclipse will be?

There will be another partial solar eclipse on March 29, 2025. However, India won’t be able to watch it. Indians will only be able to view one partial solar eclipse, which will take place on November 3, 2032.

Solar eclipse types

There are four different forms of solar eclipses, according to NASA: hybrid eclipse, annular eclipse, partial eclipse, and complete eclipse.

1: Total Solar Eclipse: When the Moon moves in front of the Sun, fully obscuring its face, a total solar eclipse takes place.

2: Annular Solar Eclipse: An annular solar eclipse happens when the Moon is in front of the Sun and is at or near its distance from the Earth. The Moon appears to be smaller than the Sun and does not completely obscure it because of its greater distance from Earth.

3: When the Moon passes between the Sun and the Earth, but the Sun, Moon, and Earth are not exactly lined up, a partial solar eclipse takes place. The sun will appear to be partially obscured, giving it a crescent-shaped appearance.

4: Hybrid Solar Eclipse: Due to the curvature of the Earth’s surface, an eclipse may occasionally transition between an annular and total phase as the Moon’s shadow travels across the planet. It’s referred to as a hybrid solar eclipse.
