According to the most recent data available from the nation’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, there were only 24 million valid Japanese passports in use as of the end of 2021. Less than 20% of the population held a valid travel document, a decrease of more than 3 million from the previous year.
Following Germany and Spain and a number of other European countries, Singapore and South Korea maintained their joint positions in second place on the ranking.

Pakistan is in Top 5 list in the world’s worst passport to hold with a visa free score of 32
Afghanistan’s passport came in at number 109 with a visa-free score of 27, while Iraq’s passport came in at number 108 with a visa-free score of 29. Syria has a visa-free ranking of 107 and a score of 30. With a visa-free score of 32, Pakistan ranks as the fifth worst passport in the world, at number 106. Yemen is ranked 105th with a score of 34 for visa-free travel.
Speaking of India, 59 international locations are visa-free for holders of the Indian passport, which is ranked 85th in the world’s most powerful passport index for 2023. According to the research, the nation was placed 82nd in 2018, 84th in 2019, 84th in 2020, 85th in 2021, and 83rd in 2022.
59 countries, including Bhutan, Cambodia, Indonesia, Macao, Maldives, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Kenya, Mauritius, Seychelles, Zimbabwe, Uganda, Iran, and Qatar, do not require visas for bearers of Indian passports. However, certain nations may need you to obtain a visa upon arrival.
