Patna News: Steps taken by PMC to counter the rise of Dengue cases

Patna News: With the increase in the number Dengue cases in the capital, the Municipal Corporation and the State Health Department is bracing up to fight against the deadly disease in the state. The State Health Department is looking for all the possible breeding sites in households and the neighbourhood areas. A Total of 35 cases have been registered in the city since January this year.

375 teams formed for every ward, each team has 2 members

The Patna Municipal Corporation has formed 375 teams, five teams for each ward to keep an eye on the Mosquito breeding. Each team has two members, one member to carry the machine and the other member will visit the houses of the people and note the required details. The Patna Municipal Corporation is planning to carry out Anti-Larva Sprays in every nook and corner of the city till August 15th. Apart from this, fogging is also being done in regular basis. The PMC currently has 135 Fogging Machines.

People must not store water for long to avoid breeding’

The authorities are requesting people to not allow any breeding sites in their houses and make sure they throw out extra water and do not restore the water for long to avoid mosquito breeding in the house. The doctors are advising Dengue positive patients to isolate themselves and follow the doctors advice.
