Patna-Ranchi Vande Bharat Express; 2nd trial successfully completed

Ranchi News: On Sunday, The Patna-Ranchi Vande Bharat Express successfully completed the first phase of the second trial run. The initial phase of the trial happened on 12th June where the train ran between Patna and Ranchi stations. The second trial was extended till Hatia, next station ahead of Ranchi. The train arrived in Hatia 16 minutes behind schedule reaching at 1:36 pm, loco pilot cited signaling issues as cause of delay. The final run on the route is planned for June 27.

Completion of 2nd trial

Birendra Kumar, The Chief Public Relations Officer (CPRO), East Central Railway, Hajipur zone told Press Trust of India “If the two trials satisfy higher authorities, no more will be required.” The train left Patna at 6.55 am and passed through tunnels and crossed bridges between Sidhwar (Ramgarh) and Sanki (Ranchi). It halted at Jehanabad, Gaya, Koderma, Hazaribag, Barkakana and Ranchi stations.It is just a trial run where many halts may be taken. Final halts are yet to be decided on the route.” The train then left for Patna with scheduled arrival marked for at 10.10 pm.

Trial run in Karnataka

On Monday, a trial run of the Vande Bharat Express between Bengaluru and Hubballi-Dharwad was conducted by the South-Western Railway. The route is set to become operational after its inauguration by Prime Miniter Narendra Modi on June 26. The trail was conducted between Bengaluru and Hubballi-Dharwad stations. The train has a seating capacity of 530 passengers. It is the 2nd Vade Bharat express running through Karnataka with train from Mysuru to Chennai via Bengaluru already operational since last November.
