PM Modi today held a COVID review meet with Chief Ministers of 10 states. In the meeting, Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal raised the issue of a shortage of oxygen in the national capital. The conference was only for the 10 most affected states.
“There is a huge shortage of oxygen in Delhi. Will people of Delhi not get oxygen if there is no oxygen-producing plant here?” Kejriwal said.
Delhi has reported more than 26,000 new COVID cases with 306 deaths. The Union Territory has a ratio of one fatality in every 5 minutes which is the fastest since the pandemic began.
Max Hospital chain in Delhi has informed that they can’t admit any new patient in their all hospitals in the National Capital Region till oxygen supplies get stablize.
The meeting with Prime Minister comes at the time when nation is continously reporting its highest spike in the cases of COVID-19.
The nation reported more than 3 lakhs and 30 thousand new cases of COVID-19, which is the highest single-day spike since the pandemic began. The surge in COVID cases is getting worse in India and as the days are passing by the failure of the central government is completely in front of the entire nation.
