Today is the 93rd birth anniversary of Bharat Ratna Lata Mangeshkar. PM Modi remembered Lata didi in a special way. PM Modi said that there is a lot that I remember. It is one of the fitting tributes to one of the greatest Indian icons.
On the occasion of 93rd birth anniversary of Bharat Ratna Lata Mangeshkar, CM Yogi inaugurated Lata Mangeshkar Chowk in Ramnagari Ayodhya today. A video message of PM Modi was also narrated on this occasion. A 40 feet long veena has been installed on this Chowk of Ayodhya, which weighs 14 tons.
CM Yogi has inaugurated Lata Mangeshkar Chowk in Ayodhya. An exhibition of Lata didi’s paintings was also organized on this occasion in Ram Katha Park. Along with this, a video message of PM Narendra Modi was also narrated on this occasion. Earlier, PM Modi had expressed happiness by tweeting. Remembering Lata Mangeshkar on her birth anniversary, he wrote that I am happy that today a chowk in Ayodhya will be named after her.
The main attraction of Lata Mangeshkar Chowk, located in the Naya Ghat area on the banks of the Saryu beach, is a giant Veena, made by Padma Shri awardee craftsman Ram Sutar. Two peacocks are also made on this veena along with Goddess Lakshmi and Saraswati. The height or length of this Veena prepared by 70 artists in a month is about 12 meters that is 40 feet. After the death of Lata Mangeshkar, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath himself had announced a chowk in her name.
