In the two-day visit to his native Gujarat, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday officially inaugurated Rajkot International Airport. According to a press release from the state government, Gujarat’s first greenfield airport is the international airport in the town of Hirasar, which is close to Rajkot.
Rajkot International Airport: PM to address large gathering
PM Modi will then address a large gathering at the Race Course field in Rajkot city following the inauguration. The PM will dedicate SAUNI Yojana packages 8 and 9 from the location. Saurashtra Narmada Avtaran Irrigation.
According to a press release, the SAUNI scheme’s recently finished packages 8 and 9 will offer potable water to almost 98,000 people in the Saurashtra region as well as water for 52,398 acres of irrigable land spread across 95 villages.
The PM will also open a new library and an over-bridge from the location.
According to a news release, the Prime Minister will open the “Semicon India 2023” exhibition on Friday in Gandhinagar, the state capital, which will feature cutting-edge semiconductor technology.
