Atal Bihari Vajpayee Anniversary: Atal Bihari Vajpayee, a former Indian prime minister, passed away five years ago today. The BJP has planned a programme to honour the late BJP leader. On this occasion, all of the BJP’s prominent leaders are coming. The unique aspect is that the BJP has for the first time invited NDA constituents to the death anniversary programme. The programme commemorating Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s passing was attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla, and all the major BJP figures. Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited the Atal Samadhi on this day, where he presented flowers and paid respect to the late leader. On this occasion, President Draupadi Murmu, who also made an appearance in this programme, paid respect to Vajpayee.

Prominent Figures Converge to Honor Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s Memory

All of the top NDA politicians are attending this memorial service after accepting an invitation from the BJP. The event was also attended by NDA leaders Jitan Ram Manjhi, Sudesh Mahto, Thambi Durai, Rahul Shewale of the Shiv Sena, Praful Patel, Agatha Sangma, and Anupriya Patel. Other NDA leaders can also access the programme in addition to these. At his samadhi sthal always at Atal, a programme has been planned on the former prime minister’s fifth death anniversary. Namita Bhattacharya and Ranjan Bhattacharya, the daughter and son-in-law of Atal Bihari Vajpayee, also attended the programme on this occasion. Anurag Thakur, a Union Minister, attended the memorial service. Nitish Kumar, the chief minister of Bihar and a former NDA ally, is also travelling to Delhi to pay respects to Atal Bihari Vajpayee at his mausoleum on the occasion of the anniversary of his passing.
