PM Modi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi, on Thursday, stated that it has always been his government’s goal to increase the impact of governance while reducing the government’s interference in every citizen’s life.
PM Modi stated that his administration is working tirelessly to make the ecosystem more transparent and faster by simplifying procedures and processes at all levels.

PM’s message for ‘Second Sushasan Saptah’
The prime minister stated in his message for ‘Second Sushasan Saptah’ (good governance week), which will be observed from December 19 to 25, that his government has taken various citizen-centric initiatives, such as redressal of public grievances, online services, disposal of service delivery applications, and good governance practises.
He remarked, “It has always been our endeavour to increase the impact of governance, but reduce the interference of government in every citizen’s life.”
PM Modi stated that the elimination of thousands of unnecessary regulations, the repeal of thousands of outdated laws, and the decriminalisation of a wide range of minor offences are major steps in this direction.
He believes that technology has enormous potential to bring the government and citizens closer together, guided by the ‘citizen first’ principle.

Technology has become a powerful tool to empower citizens
“Today, technology has become a powerful tool to empower citizens, as well as a medium to optimise transparency and accountability in day-to-day functioning,” the prime minister wrote in a message dated December 12.
We are strongly marching ahead towards digital empowerment of citizens and digital transformation of institutions,” through various policy interventions he stated.
PM Modi stated that the people have resolved to build a glorious and self-sufficient India during the “Amrit Kaal” of the next 25 years.
The Prime Minister further said, “The government’s role is to complement the people’s resolve by being an enabler in their efforts. Our role is to increase opportunities and remove obstacles from their path.”
He expressed hope that the ‘Second Sushasan Saptah’ will aid in the advancement of good governance at all levels.
PM Modi said, “It is particularly pleasing to note that this year too, the ‘Prashasan Gaon Ki Ore’ campaign continues to be a part of good governance week.”
