The 105th episode of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s monthly talk series, “Mann ki Baat,” was given. In his radio address, he made the categorical claim that interest in India has grown significantly in recent years, notably in the wake of the G20 Summit’s successful organisation and the historic achievement made by ISRO’s Chandrayaan-3 mission.
In his speech, Prime Minister Modi emphasised how popular Indian music and culture have become around the world, attracting an increasing number of admirers. He played the mesmerising performance by German singer Cassandra Mae Spittmann, who has gained internet fame in India and throughout the world for her melodic singing, during the radio programme.
What is sweet voice says PM Modi
Praising her versatile singing, PM Modi said while praising the versatile singing of Cassandra, “What a sweet voice.. and through the emotions reflected in every word, we can feel her love for God.”
He noted, “21-year-old Cassmae is quite popular on Instagram these days. CassMae, a resident of Germany, has never been to India, but she is a fan of Indian music, and has never even seen India. Her interest in Indian music is very inspiring.”
PM Modi stressed that CassMae overcame difficulties by taking on challenging tasks and going on to achieve remarkable feats.
German artist CassMae, who is blind, is so passionate about music and creative that she began singing at a very young age. PM Modi emphasised that she began African drumming at the young age of 3.
Skilled Tabla player
Despite the fact that CassMae had only recently learned about Indian music—perhaps five or six years ago—she was completely engrossed in it. She has also learned tabla playing skills.
The polyglot vocalist was further praised by PM Modi, who pointed out that she is an expert singer in a variety of Indian languages, including Sanskrit, Hindi, Malayalam, Tamil, Kannada, Assamese, Bengali, Marathi, and Urdu. CassMae is proficient in all of them with her notes.
PM Modi ended up by saying, “I wholeheartedly appreciate Germany’s CassMae’s passion for Indian culture and music. Her efforts are going to overwhelm every Indian.”
