PM Modi Egypt Visit: Following the conclusion of his State visit to the United States, Prime Minister Narendra Modi moved on to his second state visit, which was to Egypt. This would be the first bilateral visit by an Indian Prime Minister since 1997. Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, the president of Egypt, invited Modi, and the two leaders will meet on Sunday to discuss how to further strengthen their strategic alliance.
Indian Community in Egypt Extends Warm Welcome to PM Modi
According to ANI, members of the Bohra Community were spotted holding Indian flags in the foyer of the Ritz Carlton hotel in Cairo, where Prime Minister Narendra Modi is staying while on a state visit to Egypt.
PM Modi is warmly welcomed by the Egyptian hotel’s Indian community when he arrives, and an Egyptian girl sings a Hindi song. “We all are very thrilled to meet PM Modi in Cairo. Around 300-350 people have been invited here to meet the PM today,” Deepti Singh, President of the Indian Community Association in Egypt was quoted as saying by ANI.

PM Modi Engages with Egyptian Intellectuals
According to news agency ANI, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will interact with Egyptian intellectuals and meet with Dr. Shawki Ibrahim Abdel-Karim Allam, the Grand Mufti of Egypt, on Saturday. The prime minister will stop by the Heliopolis War Memorial, a memorial built by the Commonwealth, while he is in Egypt. This monument is dedicated to the 3,799 Indian soldiers who heroically gave their lives during the World War I battles in Egypt.
