Prime Minister Narendra Modi sets a new record by becoming the most followed global leader on X (formerly Twitter) with over 100 million followers, surpassing world leaders and global celebrities.

PM Modi

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has set a new milestone by becoming the most followed global leader on X (formerly Twitter), amassing over 100 million followers. This achievement places him well ahead of other prominent global leaders such as US President Joe Biden, Dubai ruler Sheikh Mohammed, and Pope Francis.

PM Modi’s Unmatched Popularity on X

In a celebratory message on X, PM Modi shared his excitement: “A hundred million on @X! Happy to be on this vibrant medium and cherish the discussion, debate, insights, people’s blessings, constructive criticism and more. Looking forward to an equally engaging time in the future as well.”

In India, PM Modi’s follower count significantly exceeds that of other Indian politicians. Rahul Gandhi, the Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha, has 26.4 million followers, while Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has 27.5 million. Other opposition leaders like Samajwadi Party Chief Akhilesh Yadav, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, RJD Supremo Lalu Prasad, and NCP (SP) Chief Sharad Pawar have fewer followers compared to Modi.

Beyond Politics

Prime Minister Modi’s influence extends beyond the political realm. He boasts more followers than international sports stars like Virat Kohli, Neymar Jr., and LeBron James. Additionally, he surpasses global celebrities such as Taylor Swift, Lady Gaga, and Kim Kardashian in follower count.
