Prime Minister Narendra Modi signed his first file authorising the distribution of the 17th payment of the PM Kisan Nidhi since taking office, demonstrating his continued commitment to farmer welfare and an important step towards that goal. With the distribution of almost Rs 20,000 crores, this payment would help about 9.3 crore farmers in India sustain their way of life.
PM Modi’s Statement on Farmer Welfare
PM Modi stressed his government’s commitment to the welfare of farmers as he signed the document. “Ours is a Government fully committed to Kisan Kalyan. It is therefore fitting that the first file signed on taking charge is related to farmer welfare. We want to keep working even more for the farmers and the agriculture sector in the times to come.” he said.
Impact of the 17th Installment of PM Kisan Nidhi
One of the Modi government’s key initiatives, the PM Kisan Nidhi scheme, is to give farmers financial help. Nearly 9.3 crore farmers will benefit from the large infusion of Rs 20,000 crores that the 17th payment would provide to the agricultural sector. For farmers to oversee their farming operations and maintain their way of life, this financial support is essential.
Continuation of the PM Kisan Nidhi Scheme
A key component of the Modi administration’s initiatives to improve the agricultural sector has been the PM Kisan Nidhi scheme. The government hopes to consistently assist farmers by guaranteeing the timely flow of cash, which would enable them to overcome financial obstacles and make expenditures in more advanced farming techniques.
