On Friday PM Narendra Modi did not address a rally in the Abu Road area of Rajasthan’s Sirohi, he also skipped using a microphone as he reached the venue late and said that he wants to obey loudspeaker rules and regulations.
“I got late in reaching. It is 10 pm. My conscience says that I should follow the rules and regulations. So, I apologize before you,” Modi told the gathering without a mic and loudspeaker.
“But, I want to promise you that I will come here again and will repay with interest the love and affection that you have given me,” he said.
PM Modi arrived at the location in Sirohi, Rajasthan’s Abu Road neighborhood, late and stated that he must abide by all loudspeaker laws and regulations.
The Supreme Court forbade the use of loudspeakers and music systems in public places from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. in 2005, citing the detrimental effects of noise pollution.
There have been various conflicts regarding the use of loudspeakers at mosques to play again in recent months.
The new Vande Bharat Express between Gandhinagar and Mumbai was also launched at Gandhinagar Station earlier in the day by PM Modi, who also unveiled Phase-I of the Ahmedabad Metro project there.

He also went to Ambaji, Gujarat, where he dedicated several development projects totaling more than Rs 7,200 crores and laid the cornerstone for them. Additionally, he dedicated and laid the cornerstone for the approximately 45,000 residences constructed under the PM Awas Yojana.
The Taranga Hill – Ambaji – Abu Road New Broad Gauge Line’s foundation stone was laid by PM Modi. In addition to these, he also lay the cornerstone for the PRASAD scheme’s building of pilgrimage facilities at the Ambaji temple.
