PM Modi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to begin his first state visit to the United States of America. The visit will start on June 21 and will conclude after 3 days on June 24. During his visit, Modi will lead International Yoga Day celebration from United Nations Headquarters on first day of his visit. The scheduled trip comes after an invitation was extended from President Joe Biden and First Lady, Jill Biden for a state visit.
Wednesday June 21
PM Modi will arrive in New York where he will preside over celebrations of International Yoga Day at Un Headquarters. The event will have high-profile attendees from 180 countries and is set to begin at 5:30 PM IST in the North lawns of UN building. African American actor and singer, Mary Milben will attend the event while making her presence at diaspora gathering as well. PM Modi will leave for Washington DC after his dinner at 8PM IST.

Thursday June 22
PM Modi will be officially welcomed by President Joe Biden in White House. Thousands of Indian Americans are expected to greet during his arrival in the White House. The day of state visit will have a ceremonial welcome where national anthems will be played, and joint inspection of troop will happen at the White House followed by discussions between two leaders. The reception scheduled to be held from 7PM to 10:30PM IST will also include several high level Congressional and cabinet officials. PM Modi will preside over a joint session of US Congress on June 22 between 11:30PM to 2:30PM. Modi will be the first India PM to attend 2 sessions of US Congress. Pm Modi will spend night at the Blair House, the President’s official guest house.
Friday June 23
PM Modi will attend a diaspora event at the Ronald Regan Centre in Washington where he will interact with American Business Community and Indian American community. The US Indian Community is hosting the diaspora event and a 25-member illustrious team has been constituted to plan the event. African American actor and singer, Mary Milben will also perform at the event. US Vice President Kamala Harris and Secretary Anthony Blinken will welcome PM Modi for lunch. In the evening, President Joe Biden and First Lady will host a state dinner in PM Modi’s honor.
On June 24 PM Modi will leave for Cairo, Egypt for a two-day state visit.
