PM Modi: On Saturday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi laid the cornerstone for an international cricket stadium in his Lok Sabha district of Varanasi. On Sunday, at 12.30 p.m., he will use video conferencing to flag off nine Vande Bharat trains travelling through 11 states. The railway ministry claims that the Vande Bharat trains will enhance accessibility to significant religious sites across the nation. The religious cities of Puri and Madurai would be connected by two Vande Bharat routes: Rourkela-Bhubaneswar-Puri and Tirunelveli-Madurai-Chennai, respectively.

Nine Vande Bharat Trains

The Renigunta route will be used by the Vijayawada-Chennai Vande Bharat Express, which will also connect to Tirupati, a well-known pilgrimage destination. The Vande Bharat trains are outfitted with top-notch facilities and cutting-edge safety systems, such as Kavach technology, which limits the train’s speed by automatically applying the brakes in the event that the loco pilot forgets to do so. The Vande Bharat trains will be the swiftest on their particular lines, according to the government.

Vande Bharat Trains to Become Fastest on Their Routes

“These Vande Bharat trains will be the fastest trains along the routes of their operation and will help save considerable time of the passengers. As compared to the current fastest train along the route, Rourkela- Bhubaneswar-Puri Vande Bharat Express and Kasaragod-Thiruvananthapuram Vande Bharat Express will be faster by about three hours; Hyderabad-Bengaluru Vande Bharat Express by more than two-and-a-half hours; Tirunelveli-Madurai-Chennai Vande Bharat Express by more than two hours; Ranchi-Howrah Vande Bharat Express, Patna-Howrah Vande Bharat Express and Jamnagar-Ahmedabad Vande Bharat Express by about one hour; and Udaipur-Jaipur Vande Bharat Express by about half an hour,” the government said in a statement. “These Vande Bharat trains will be the fastest along the routes of their operation and will help save considerable time of the passengers,” it added.
