Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of development projects worth more than Rs 38,000 crore in various sectors in Mumbai. This will greatly benefit the infrastructure, urban transport and medical sectors in Mumbai. This is Prime Minister Modi’s first visit to Mumbai after Eknath Shinde became the chief minister last year. In the program held at MMRDM Maidan, Modi has inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of projects worth more than 38,000 crores, which will lead to infrastructural development, ease of urban transport and strengthening of the medical sector in the country’s financial capital.

The Prime Minister also launched the Mumbai 1 mobile app and the National Common Mobility Card (NCMC). This app will be visible at the entrances of metro stations and travel through it will be easy. With this, tickets can be bought through digital medium from UPI. Seven sewage treatment plants will be built for Rs 17,200 crore. These will be set up in the suburbs of Malad, Bhandub, Versova, Ghatkopar, Bandra, Dharavi and Worli.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that for the first time after independence, India is daring to dream big and make them come true. Modi said that a long time of the last century was spent discussing poverty and seeking help from foreigners. He said that many cities are going to strengthen the development story of the country.
