PM Modi’s Ayodhya Visit: Following his whirlwind campaign stops in his home Gujarat, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will make appearances at additional campaign events on Sunday in Etawah, a known Samajwadi Party (SP) stronghold, as well as Dhaurahra and Ayodhya in BJP-ruled Uttar Pradesh.
Prime Minister Modi’s Arrival in Uttar Pradesh
Following his planned public appearances in Jharkhand and Bihar, Prime Minister Modi arrived in Uttar Pradesh on Saturday night and conducted a grand roadshow in Kanpur with Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath by his side.
He will speak at two public gatherings later in the day, one at Dhaurahra at approximately 4.45 pm and the other in Etawah at approximately 2.45 pm. Prime Minister Modi will also offer prayers and conduct puja at the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya at approximately 7:00 p.m. during his visit.
PM Modi’s Symbolic Roadshow in Ayodhya
Following the ceremonial enthronement of Ram Lalla in his presence, PM Modi will conduct a roadshow spanning almost two kilometers in Ayodhya. The ‘Ram Path’ roadshow by Prime Minister Modi will commence at Sugriva Fort and end at Lata Chowk.
The roadshow’s itinerary has been split up into 40 blocks. Farmers, women dressed in traditional garb, Sindhis, and Punjabis are probably going to be present at the event. He will be making his first trip to Ayodhya since the ‘Pran Pratishtha’ of Ram Lalla at His birthplace on January 22, this year, on Sunday.

Ahead of PM Modi’s visit, Acharya Satyendra Das, chief priest of the Ram Temple, said “Grand preparations are underway ahead of the Prime Minister Modi’s visit to Ayodhya for a darshan of Ram Lalla and a roadshow. Ram Lalla Darshan Marg Gate no 11 has been decorated with flowers. Giant hoardings of the PM have gone up along the road.”
He added, “The roadshow is to hold on a 2-km stretch from Birla Mandir to Lata Mangeshkar Chowk. Platforms have been set up at various points on this stretch as part of the grand reception to the PM. Ram Lalla Darshan Marg has also been decked up.”
PM Modi’s Momentous Ayodhya Visit
“This is his (PM Modi’s) first visit to Ayodhya after the ‘Pran Pratishtha’. He will visit the sanctum sanctorum and hold a roadshow thereafter till the Lata Mangeshkar Chowk. The seers and mahants of Ayodhya will accompany him during the roadshow,” he added.
Plans are in motion to welcome Prime Minister Modi with great pomp and circumstance when he arrives in Ayodhya. Ahead of his visit, the temple town has been inundated with a large number of devotees since early Sunday morning, so the security has also been stepped up.
Yashwant Singh’s Tribute to PM Modi’s Legacy
A devotee of Lord Ram, Yashwant Singh, told ANI, “What PM Modi has given to this nation will remain with us for centuries as heritage. We pray that PM Modi returns for a third term and meets the target of ‘ab ki baar 400 paar’ (400-plus seats this time).”
Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) of Ayodhya, Raj Karan Nayyar, discussed the security measures in the holy city, stating that zones, sectors, and sub-sectors have been established in advance of PM Modi’s visit.

“Based on directions from the top, we have divided the area into zones, sectors and sub-sectors. We have briefed our personnel on the security protocol to be followed also also marked their duty points to make sure they know about their responsibilities at the places they have been assigned to secure,” Nayyar told on Saturday evening.
In anticipation of Prime Minister Modi’s visit, flowers and flags have been placed at the temple’s entry gates and along the approach roads. The Anti Terror Squad (ATS) and commandos are keeping an eye on all preparations in addition to the police. Additionally, airport security has been strengthened.
Fifth Phase Voting on May 20
On May 20, Ayodhya will cast its ballot in the fifth phase. The Lok Sabha elections are taking place in seven stages through June 1. On June 4, all votes will be counted. Throughout all seven stages of the parliamentary elections, polling is taking place in Uttar Pradesh, which, with 80 members, sends the most representatives to the Lower House. The first two phases of voting resulted in the completion of 16 seats.
The BJP won 62 of the 80 seats in the state in the 2019 general elections, with its ally Apna Dal (S) winning two more seats. The BJP captured the majority of the electoral spoils. Akhilesh Yadav’s SP could only muster five seats, while Mayawati’s BSP secured ten. There was only one seat left in the Congress.
