Meanwhile, there is also news that Air India will also buy 220 aircraft from Boeing. This information was given by the White House on Tuesday. US President Joe Biden hailed a ‘historic deal’ for Air India to buy 220 Boeing BA.N airplanes with a list price of $34 billion.
What happened to the deal with Boeing?
Air India will buy 220 aircraft for $34 billion. Apart from this, the option of buying 70 more aircraft has also been kept. This will bring the total deal to close to $45.9 billion.
Tata group chief N Chandrasekaran said that Air India will buy 250 aircraft from the Airbus company. This includes 40 wide body A-350 aircraft and 210 narrow body aircraft. An option to extend the order has also been kept in the agreement.

He said that we are connecting remote parts of the country with air connectivity through regional connectivity scheme UDAN, which is promoting economic and social development of the people. Many new opportunities are opening up in aerospace manufacturing under India’s Make in India – Make for the world vision.
He said that today the Indo-French partnership is playing a direct role in ensuring the stability and balance of the international order and the multilateral system. Whether it is the issue of security and stability in the Indo-Pacific region or the global food security and health system, India and France are making positive contributions together.
Modi said that the Indian aviation sector would need more than 2000 aircraft in the next 15 years. India can also become a hub for maintenance and repair for the aviation sector in the region.
