Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Vibrant Turban Choice Steals the Show on Independence Day 2023

Independence Day 2023

Independence Day 2023: Prime Minister Modi chose a colourful Rajasthani-style turban with a long tail for the nation’s 77th Independence Day. Before going to the Red Fort’s ramparts, where he was supposed to address the country, he visited Raj Ghat while wearing this recognisable headwear. The Prime Minister’s carefully chosen Independence Day costume, which included an off-white kurta, white trousers, and a jacket accented by a pocket square, went well with the multicoloured turban.

Modi’s Annual Turban Styles on Independence Day

Since 2014, Prime Minister Modi has always followed tradition by sporting a colourful turban on Independence Day. In 2022, his turban had a white foundation with saffron and green patterns to match the colours of the National Flag. He donned a saffron turban with crimson motifs the year before, in 2021. For his turban in 2020, he went for a saffron and cream colour scheme. Modi also wore a black V-neck jacket with the turban, which was a combination of yellow, green, and red in hue with a long tail, for his 10th Independence Day speech as prime minister. It was consistent with PM Modi’s custom of donning vibrant turbans on Independence Day every year since 2014. He decided on a saffron-colored headpiece with crimson motifs and a lengthy tail last year. He matched that with a blue jacket, a stole, and a traditional kurta and churidar. For Independence Day and Republic Day events, the prime minister’s costume has frequently included flamboyant and vibrant turbans.

The final speech given by Prime Minister Modi prior to India’s entry into the 2024 elections is delivered on this Independence Day in 2023. Today, Prime Minister Modi met his fellow citizens before giving a speech at the Red Fort. Happy Independence Day, everyone. We honour our outstanding freedom fighters and reaffirm our dedication to achieving their goals. “Jai Hind!” Premier Modi tweeted.
