PM Modi Brother: Prahlad Modi, the younger brother of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, has been admitted to Apollo Hospitals in Chennai due to a kidney-related disease. He is currently undergoing treatment at the hospital. Prahlad Modi is the fourth child of Damodardas Mulchand Modi and Heeraben and owns a grocery shop and a tyre showroom in Ahmedabad, Gujarat.

Prahlad Modi and political activities
This isn’t the first time that Prahlad Modi has faced a health scare; in December 2021, he was in a car accident while travelling with his family from Bandipur to Mysuru. In addition to his business ventures, Prahlad Modi is an active member of the All India Fair Price Shop Dealers’ Federation (AIFPSDF). He and several other members of the organisation staged a dharna in New Delhi’s Jantar Mantar on August 2, 2022, to voice their demands.

Besides his business interests, Prahlad Modi is an active member of the All India Fair Price Shop Dealers’ Federation (AIFPSDF). On August 2, 2022, he and a group of members from the organization staged a protest at New Delhi’s Jantar Mantar to demand for their rights.

Prahlad Modi as President of GFPSO
Prahlad is younger than Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Back in 2018, Prahlad Modi was in the headlines for his protests in Gujarat over a dispute between Gujarat Fair Price Shop and kerosene license holders. Despite efforts to resolve the issue, the matter remained unresolved, and Prahlad Modi, who was then serving as the president of Gujarat Fair Price Shop Owners, called for a bandh.
