4.3 kg of drugs in the area of the Daoke border
BSF personnel found about 4.3 kg of drugs in the area of the Daoke border outpost near Amritsar while conducting search operations during the day, according to BSF officials. The yellow tape-sealed sachets are thought to contain heroin.
At 7:20 PM yesterday, a drone had crossed into India from Pakistan. When members of the 144 Battalion took action against the drone, it hovered in the air for a short while, according to BSF officers.
This morning, a falling drone was discovered in Pakistani territory, roughly 20 metres inside their borders, directly across from the Bharopal Border Outpost’s jurisdiction. After that, search activities started.
BSF saw ome suspicious smuggling activity on both sides of the border
In the second incident, early this morning at around 1.50 am, Border Security Force saw some suspicious smuggling activity on both sides of the border fence in the vicinity of Gatti Ajaib Singh hamlet in the Fazilka district, according to BSF officers.
BSF soldiers opened fire on the Pakistani traffickers in front of the boundary barrier right away. However, by taking advantage of the thick fog, the smugglers were able to flee. The area was completely blocked off, and the police and other relevant organisations were notified.
Four packets of illegal goods wrapped in yellow tape were found on this side of the border, in front of the fence, by BSF personnel during their initial search.
Ahead of the border fence, BSF personnel also discovered a 12-foot-long PVC pipe, a shawl, and 21 packets of contraband that were wrapped in yellow tape and thought to contain heroin.
