Punjab News: Border Security Force has seized more than 5.5 kg of Heroine airdropped by a Pakistani Drone near the International border in Punjab’s Amritsar. The weight of the packet of the Heroine was about 5.26 kg. The Border Security Force troops noticed the movement of the unmanned aerial vehicle coming from the Pakistan side around early morning hours. The Security Forces then immediately moved to intercept it. This is the second such incident in Amritsar sector in the past two days. A drone was shot near Bhaini Rajputana village on last Thursday. A Police team has also joined the BSF for the search operations.

The Punjab Governor also conducted meetings with the officers of the Border districts in Amritsar and Gurdaspur to check the steps taken to prevent smuggling of drugs and weapons. The Punjab Frontier’s PRO also said that they were suspecting the smuggled item to be Heroine due to its weight. The sound of falling something heavy was heard in a field and the officers immediately launched a search operation. During their search they found a yellow packet, the packet had narcotics wrapped in yellow tape and with a hook.
