Raghav Chadha: Aam Aadmi Party’s Rajya Sabha member from Punjab, Raghav Chadha is a young, vocal, and dynamic member of the National Executive of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP). Chadha was part of the team that drafted the AAP manifesto in 2013. After serving as National Treasurer, he now holds the position of National Spokesperson and also the In-charge of Litigation Affairs.
Chadha had recently demanded a legal guarantee regarding the minimum support price. On this demand, he introduced the Private Member’s Bill in Parliament.
He has an impressive report card for this monsoon session – his attendance in parliament is 93%, he introduced 2 private member bills, and asked 42 questions. Not a bad going for the young MP. from Punjab. The MP has shared his full report card on Twitter.
Will try to live up to people’s expectations
Raghav Chadha tweeted, “My report card for the 2022 monsoon session of Parliament. I raised 42 questions, introduced 2 private member bills and participated in 8 debates with 93% attendance. I will try to live up to the expectations of my people and use this platform to fight for the rights of Punjab.”
Raghav Chadha touched upon many important issues during this monsoon session in parliament. Some of the issues he raised include:
1. GST on inns around Sri Harmandir Sahib
2. MSP Guarantee for Farmers
3. Special Guru Kripa Train connecting Gurdwaras across the country
4. Decrease in water level in Punjab
5. Rising Inflation

Demand from the government regarding farmers
Additionaly, Raghav Chadha had also said on the previous day that he would always raise his voice loudly in Parliament regarding farmers. “I will force the government to debate on this issue and will continue to fight for the rights of farmers till the last breath” said Raghav
‘First Love’ of Naidu and Chadha
Let us tell you that recently when Raghav Chadha got up to bid farewell to Rajya Sabha Chairman M Venkaiah Naidu, he said something which is in the headlines. Chadha said, “Sir, everyone remembers their first day of school, first teacher, first love. I will remember you as the first chairman.” In response to this, Naidu said, “Raghav, you only fall in love once, right? Not twice or thrice, right?” In response to which Raghav Chadha said that “I am not that experienced in this respect. But (first love) is good. ” To this Naidu responded – “First love is the best. That love is to last forever.”
