Rahul Gandhi, Tuesday, attacked opposition in Parliament over several issues. He spoke about Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s link to billionaire Gautam Adani, whose company has lost around $120 billion after US investment group Hindenburg Research accused fraud in stocks by the group. Speaking about his Bharat Jodo Yatra, Rahul said government schemes have failed farmers. He also said that Agniveer Scheme is being imposed on Army.
Rahul Gandhi attacks PM Modi over connection with Gautam Adan
The Congress MP accused PM Modi of providing his assistance to Adani’s business empire across sectors. He said that the billionaire has gained investors in countries the Prime Minister has visited.
“Adani ji never fails in any business he ventures into – solar energy, wind energy. During my yatra people asked me how Adani attained such success in so many sectors, what is his relationship with the Prime Minister,” Rahul Gandhi said in Lok Sabha, alleging that the businessman had gained contracts in the countries that PM Modi had visited.
“People asked me how Adani’s net worth increased from $ 8 billion to 140 billion between 2014 and 2022. He stated that the businessman’s rank went from 600th to second rank since the BJP came in power.
“After the BJP took over the government in 2014, the existing rule that only a company/person only with an experience in airports be given the responsibility of developing them was changed, and six airports were handed over to Adani,” Gandhi pointed out.
Adani has zero experience in defence sector
“Now, Adani has zero experience in the defence sector. Yesterday PM said at HAL that we hurled the wrong allegations. But in reality, HAL’s contract of 126 aircraft went to Anil Ambani,” Congress MP Rahul Gandhi said.

“How many times you travelled together (on a foreign trip) with Adaniji? How many times Adaniji joined you later on your foreign trip? How many times he reached you after you landed on a foreign country? How many times Adaniji bagged a contract in a foreign country after your visit there?” Rahul Gandhi asks PM Modi.
We heard people’s voices during the Bharat Jodo Yatra
“During ‘Bharat Jodo Yatra’, we heard people’s voices while we also kept our voices. We talked to children, women, and the elderly during the yatra. We asked the youth about their jobs… Many said they are unemployed or drive Uber. Farmers talked about not getting money under PM-BIMA Yojana and their land being snatched away, while tribals talked about Tribal Bill.”
Agniveer Scheme imposed on Army: Rahul Gandhi
The Congress leader also said that Army was not happy with the Agniveer scheme.“Retired senior officers said that Agniveer Yojana came from RSS, Home Ministry and not from the Army. They said the Agniveer scheme being coerced on the Army,” he said.
