Rajasthan News: According to sources on Thursday, the Rajasthan Congress president Govind Singh Dotasra and Independent MLA Om Prakash Hudla are the targets of raids by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) at several places.
ED’s Action Sparks Political Debate Amidst Election Campaign
Meanwhile, Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot announced in a post on X that his son Vaibhav has also received a summons from the investigation agency. While campaigning for the impending state Assembly elections, Gehlot drew attention to the fact that the ED’s action against Dotasra and summons to his son occurred just one day after his government had declared assurances for women. According to news agency PTI, Vaibhav has been called in for interrogation in the FEMA case on October 27 in Jaipur.
Raids Amidst Document Leak Controversy
The ED has not released an official statement, but reports link the raids on Dotasra and Hudla to the document leaks. This is the first time Dotasra has been the target of raids. From their respective seats of Mahwa in Dausa and Laxmangarh in Sikar, Dotasra and Hudla have both been fielded again.
